People Serving People – Volunteers

People Serving People, located in downtown Minneapolis, is the region's largest and most comprehensive family-focused homeless shelter. They envision a community in which all children have the stability and support they need to develop their full capacity and thrive, and their mission is to help homeless and at-risk children and their families manage situations and build a strong foundation for their long-term success. Simpson Housing Services – Donate

Every day Simpson Housing Services helps people experiencing homelessness transition to stable and affordable housing. Donated items like yours allow us to meet basic needs, provide comfort, and assist with building trusting relationships with our program participants. Learn more on how to give. DID Livability Team Outreach

The DID Livability Team conducts proactive street-level outreach in the District to promote a healthy and safe downtown for everyone. They respond to calls regarding livability and public safety concerns, and determine the appropriate intervention. Meaningful Daytime Activities

The Downtown Engagement Subcommittee, part of the 2025 Plan Ending Street Homelessness Committee, is focused on breaking barriers for getting out of crisis through meaningful daytime activities while also accounting for experiences throughout the day and meeting storage needs for those in need.
