Simpson Housing Services – Donate

April 12, 2018 - December 31, 2018

Every day Simpson Housing Services helps people experiencing homelessness transition to stable and affordable housing. Donated items like yours allow us to meet basic needs, provide comfort, and assist with building trusting relationships with our program participants.

Learn more on how to give. Donations are available for drop-off weekdays from 3 pm-9 pm and on weekends from 4 pm-9 pm.

Simpson Housing Services welcomes donations of high-quality items. Most items must be new, except where noted. Items must meet the following standards:

  • High quality and in excellent working condition.
  • Manufactured within the last 10 years, except where noted.
  • Clean and freshly laundered, free of stains and pet hair.
  • No rips, tears, holes, dents, or scratches.
  • Toiletry items and food must be unopened and unexpired.

Staff assess items and may request that you donate items to another agency based on the quality of the items and our current needs.

Donations of assembled toiletry kits, or blessing bags, may be helpful depending on our storage space. Please contact Christina Giese at cgiese@simpsonhousing.org before assembling toiletry kits.

Unsure whether you should donate an item? Ask yourself if you would give the item as a gift to a friend.

It is extra helpful if you sort, count, and label your donation.
